Delight in living, learning and celebrating together
Welcome to Hipswell Church of England Primary. We are a caring and happy community where our pupils are warmly welcomed and encouraged to aim high in order to reach their full potential.
Our dedicated team welcomes change and embraces the fresh ideas, diversity and cultural heritage brought by the arrival of each new pupil.
Working hand in hand with a strong support network, we aim to meet the specific needs of all children. Our pupils come from a variety of backgrounds, and we celebrate this diversity.
We are proud of our strong links with the Armed Forces and are particularly experienced in integrating children successfully from military and non-military backgrounds.
We have excellent links with the local community and St. John’s Church. Our core Christian values underpin our ethos and teaching. They help to shape positive relationships:
- The Golden Rule (we are kind, helpful and polite)
- Perseverance
- Respect
- Love
- Generosity
- Truth
- Forgiveness
Our school is committed to effective teamwork through good relationships which forms the basis of our vision:
Our vision is to “Live generously and graciously towards others, the way God lives towards us” (Matthew 5:48). We nurture supportive relationships within our often-changing community. We aspire for our children to be resilient and to flourish – happily, confidently and with enthusiasm.
