The autumn term topic in Year 6 is Behind Enemy Lines, focusing on the history of World War II. The class wrote letters to veterans from the war and one of our parents kindly delivered the letters personally. Writing the letters really highlighted the impact of the war and the significance of Remembrance Day to the class.
We were delighted to receive photos of the letters being read and, as an additional surprise, an email from Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, grandson of Field Marshall Montgomery. We were very proud of the letters produced by the class and it was wonderful to receive such a positive and meaningful response.
